Sedona Arizona Winter Engagement

Dreamy Sedona Arizona Engagement Session | Chris + Sam

Words cannot describe the beauty of Sedona. As soon as you drive into the valley, the views literally took my breath away. It is a mecca for all things outdoors and as a photographer I was in heaven. The winter months in Arizona are quite mild and sometimes even a little rainy. As far as destination engagement or elopement locations, this makes the top of the list! The day of Chris and Sam’s session could not have been more perfect. We had a little rain and it gave us the best moody cloud cover and soft light. 

In Sedona there are a few different options as far as locations to shoot. We chose a location that has a little less traffic and a place we knew we would be able to find parking. The views in Red Rock State Park are unread and it’s so worth driving through or stopping for a hike. The parking lots sometimes fill up during peak season so we chose a location a little off the beaten path called Secret Slickrock Trail. This super mellow half mile trek will take you to a tucked away, private view of Cathedral Rock. We put on some tunes, drank champaign, ate some yummy local cheeses and took these incredible photos.
